Jeremias Soto

Consultant

Jeremias is a Consultant at Kumi based in Lima, Peru. He supports Kumi’s projects across all sectors, with an initial focus on developing third-party risk management systems and implementing our Responsible Sourcing Programme in Bolivian mining companies.

Jeremias has delivered consultancy in the Colombian forestry sector, researching innovative and sustainable techniques, and delivering policy recommendations. He has worked on a project for a Dutch NGO focused on housing issues and a boutique Colombian consultancy focused on sustainability.

Jeremias obtained a Master’s degree in International Public Management and Public Policy at Erasmus University Rotterdam with a focus on international relations. He studied international governance and conflict analysis throughout this degree. He researched the impact of the European Union on French security policy in West Africa during his studies.

For his undergraduate studies, Jeremias studied Public Governance at the University of Tilburg, where he also had his first experiences with consulting and wrote for an online newspaper. He researched the current state of indigenous rights in Peru for his Bachelor’s thesis.

When not working, Jeremias enjoys watching films and trying to understand Russian literature.
