WEBINAR – Five due diligence blind spots: is your responsible sourcing programme ready for regulation?

Date: Wednesday 14th October
Time: 3.30pm – 4.00pm (CET)

Location: Online (GoToWebinar)

Companies have invested significant time and resources in responsible sourcing policies, supplier assessments, audits and reporting. As new regulations take effect, a fundamental question remains:

Can companies show that these efforts are actually identifying and addressing the most serious risks in their supply chains?

In this focused 30-minute webinar, Andrew Britton and Salomé Wyns will discuss five blind spots that can leave companies exposed as due diligence regulations take effect. They will share findings from Kumi’s Responsible Sourcing Barometer, a survey of 110 companies, along with the latest regulatory developments and insights from client work. For each blind spot, they’ll outline practical steps companies can take next to close the gap.

Why this matters

Due diligence regulations such as the CSDDD, and the EU Battery Regulation differ in scope and timing, but they point in a similar direction. Companies need to understand where their most serious risks lie, including beyond their direct suppliers. They need to take action to address those risks and be able to demonstrate that their approach is effective.

The data from our Responsible Sourcing Barometer suggests most companies are not there yet:

  • 24% have mapped only their direct suppliers or not mapped their supply chain at all.
  • 19% measure outcomes for workers or the environment.
  • 14% can point to clear improvements from their efforts.
