Andrew is Kumi’s founder and leads the delivery of all of Kumi’s consulting assignments. Growing up in Uganda and Kenya gave Andrew a passion for the environment and community development from an early age. Prior to founding Kumi in 2015, Andrew spent 13 years working for a number of sustainability and international development consulting firms. This included eight years in the sustainability practice of EY where he honed his skills with clients such as BP, BG Group, British American Tobacco, Shell and Vodafone.
Andrew has worked in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas and across many industry sectors, helping clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies, manage risks, improve their performance and report to their stakeholders. He has particular expertise in the natural resource and agricultural industries, sectors in which his work has shaped government policies and industry frameworks.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys hiking, cycling, and photography. However, as a father of three young children he doesn’t have any free time, so his indulgence of these pursuits is often restricted to daydreams.
